We set up The Playground with groups in mind, because we wanted to create an affordable place in Queenstown, that sport teams, schools and community groups could come together to play, learn, connect and be challenged.
At The Playground, we offer a range of group activities that are centred around team-building, bond strengthening and increasing resilience. We know that school camps and sports trips are a highlight that, for many, will be remembered for years to come, so we wanted to make these trips even more memorable by providing unique group activities that would allow people to connect with each other, whilst challenging themselves, building confidence and having a real laugh.
Our Queenstown site is driven by a focus on good, old fashioned fun, that cultivates active wellness. We can cater our activities for groups of 6 to 200 people.
Our Resilience and Personal Strength Program is the perfect way to add a little bit extra to The Playground experience. This program, which we've developed and adapted post-COVID, teaches important life skills that participants can implement during both their time with us and carry forward, to help them in everyday situations. We teach participants the key components of resilience and the importance of identifying personal strengths in a challenging, but fun, real-life situation.
After having a great time playing our activities, why not make the most of our free BBQ facilities and chill out for a bit to reflect on your session, or bring a packed lunch to enjoy on our site.
We typically teach our Resilience and Personal Strength Program using our Archery Combat and Ropes Challenge course, but you can check out our other activity options here. If you are interested in visiting The Playground, but aren't quite sure what activities would best suit your group and budget , please give us an email or call and we can talk about your groups’ needs and customise something to suit.
*Discounts of 30%, or more are available for all NZ schools of 10 or more students, when choosing two, or more activities (excluding paintball).
NB: All teachers and parent helpers play for free, when school bookings of 10 or more students are made.
